Around 8,500 companies from 131 countries, including 92 from Portugal, participated in the Madrid International Tourism Fair (Fitur), one of the largest in the world.

The opening of the Portugal Pavilion at the 43rd Fitur, inaugurated by the Kings of Spain – Felipe VI and Letízia –, was attended by the Secretary of State for Tourism, Nuno Fazenda. The agenda includes the presence of the Minister of Economy, António Costa Silva, who will participate in the presentation of the joint Strategy for the Sustainability of Cross-border Tourism between Portugal and Spain 2022-2024, alongside the Spanish Minister in charge of Tourism, Reyes Maroto.
